Ni Hon Go!
Japan - Multifaceted, with surprises at every corner!
Although costly, Japan is one of, if not the most memorable experiences one can have in a lifetime. With an abundance of different foods, and replenishing bevereges at every street corner, what's not to love?
The dynamic landscape that Japan has to offer is something that shouldn't be looked past. Like most world cities in the developed world, Japan offers the highest state of the art technologies, right in the heart of the bustling city Tokyo. However, undoubtedly some people go on holidays to escape the cityscape, and enter places of zen to relax and perhaps detox. Japan has got you covered. Kyoto has been widely remarked as one of the most traditional and untouched cities in the world. Home to Japan's many shrines and temples, Kyoto's landscape is rather flat, which has attracted many from around the world to cycle whilst viewing the amazing scenery. Additionally, Osaka must be noted, for if you're a tourist who enjoys street food and cosmetics, Dotonbori - the central street in Osaka is a place perfect for you!
So, the question remains - How do you plan an effective holiday in Japan?
From personal experience, an effective holiday amounts to minimising cost, and maximising experience. How is this achieved? Generally, the common phrase 'The more the merrier' applies here. Only last year, a group of ten friends, including myself, embarked on a journey to Japan for two weeks. With a large group, the cost of accomodation is split between ten people, and thus each person pays less. Further, with more people in a foreign country, a feeling of safety is established, and memories that amount the the 'experience' aspect, is maximised. Within my group of friends, we had an even split of males and females; that is, five males and five females. Undoubtedly, with this many people it's difficult to maintain structural integrity, and thus, our group adopted a 'buddy system'. Everyone had their own buddy of the opposite gender, and said buddies were not allowed to be seperated.
Why is safety important in Japan? In any foreign and unknown country, safety is of paramount importance. Japan in particular, is home to a vibrant sex culture, with brothels and massage parlours dotted all over Shinjuku's Red Light District. As such, with a buddy system, no one is ever left alone, and issues or problems can be solved collectively.
So what are you waiting for? Book you're flights, because the longer you wait, the more costly it gets!
